Labradorite – The Stone of Intuition and Inner Strength
Labradorite is one of the most mysterious and impressive minerals in the world of crystals. It is known for its characteristic play of color – blue, green, gold, and sometimes violet – which appears as the light moves across the stone. This effect is called labradorescence and is what makes the stone look almost magical.

The stone takes its name from the Canadian peninsula of Labrador, where it was discovered in the 18th century.
According to Inuit legends, the Northern Lights were once “trapped” in the rocks of Labrador. A warrior struck the rock with his spear and released part of the light, which rose into the sky. Some of it remained inside the stone – and this is how labradorite came to be.
