Sunshine, Smiles and Family Charm

At the beginning of January 2018, we received a very short inquiry through our contact form about a personalized bracelet. Practically, only a name and a phone number had been left.

I do not like to keep people waiting, so I quickly contacted the person who had left the message. I dialed the phone number and heard the cheerful voice of a very radiant and smiling lady from the wonderful city of Stara Zagora.

Although we did not know each other and were speaking for the first time, I had the feeling that I could talk with this woman for a long time and about all kinds of topics – from yoga to ordinary everyday challenges.

The lady shared that a series of personal celebrations was approaching and that she would very much like to make a family gift for everyone – a personally crafted bracelet for each of them. I understood that there would be no problem for her and her little girl – as ladies, they liked wearing jewelry. The problem was that she did not know whether the men she loved (her son and husband) would like and approve of the idea – whether they would decide to wear bracelets. I assured her that many men buy and wear gemstone bracelets.

In the end, we agreed that I would make one version of each bracelet, photograph them for her, and she would tell me whether I was getting warmer or colder. We clarified the bracelet sizes. Since we did not know each other and I knew absolutely nothing about this family, the lady sent me their dates of birth, which showed where the Sun, Moon and Venus were positioned. Still, having only the birth date and no exact time, I kept in mind that the Moon might fall between two signs – that was the case with the daughter. I had some hesitation as to whether the night luminary was in Leo or Virgo, but knowing that her Sun was in Cancer, this was actually why we added a little yellow and some green-blue.

I completed the task in about a day. I love putting on relaxing music while I work on custom projects – I like to feel comfortable while I am working.

I sent her the proposal (I will not publish names or personal information)

Dad: 20 cm. Strong emphasis in Aries; Sun, Venus, Saturn, Mercury; Moon in Virgo; Mars in Sagittarius. For him we chose 8 mm beads. Coral, matte Onyx, Obsidian and a Hamsa hand with a 4 mm coral bead.

For Mom: 18 cm. Sun and Moon in Gemini, Venus in Cancer, Mars in Libra. For Mom I chose 10 mm Cat’s Eye beads in different colors – white, yellow, green and blue – and a 4 mm Jadeite bead in the hand.

Son (a young man around 27 years old): 20 cm. Sun in Sagittarius, Mars in Scorpio, Moon in Leo, Venus in Libra. For him we chose the comparatively more discreet size – 6 mm beads: Sunstone, blue stone, Turquoise, Garnet, and a 4 mm Turquoise bead in the hand.

And last but not least, the Daughter – a 22-year-old princess: 16 cm. Her Sun comes out in Cancer (although there is also a strong Gemini influence), Moon in Leo/Virgo, Mars, Mercury and Venus in Gemini. For her we chose 4 mm beads – White and Yellow Agate and Jadeite in different colors, in a blue-green palette.

The lady liked the bracelets we proposed.

“I’m happy that I received photos of the finished bracelets so quickly. But I’ll make you happy too, because my loved ones really, really liked the jewelry. The stones were selected with exceptional precision and, although you don’t know us personally, our characters overlap with the stones you chose.”

Of course, we did not get away without a little criticism

“Our dad asks: Can the bracelet be without the little hand?”

 

How can you say no? The important thing is that he wanted to wear it, right? We removed all the decorations from the bracelet – the hand and decorative beads – and it definitely turned into a stylish Aries bracelet.
