Zodiac Stones, Crystals and Minerals

Zodiac Stones, Crystals and Minerals

More and more people feel strongly drawn to gemstones and crystals, wearing them as jewelry, keeping them in visible places in their homes and consciously using them on many levels for healing and energy work. We increasingly see people wearing clear quartz or amethyst on a chain, as earrings or set into a ring. People decorate their desks, homes or small altars with geodes, crystal clusters, crystal balls or individual crystals.

Some people prefer raw stones that come directly from the earth, while others like them polished, shaped and cut. Some prefer to work with smooth, rounded stones shaped into eggs, wands, spheres or engraved plaques. Semi-precious stone jewelry is becoming increasingly affordable, with options for every budget. Different stones are available in all sizes and qualities.

Many consider this interest in crystals and stones to be a phenomenon of the modern age, but that is far from true.

The magical charm of stones has fascinated people for thousands of years.

Since ancient times, stones have attracted and intrigued people. In antiquity, people not only used different stones for tools or weapons – they sensed magic in some of them and learned how to use it.

From the earliest times, people have believed that crystals help develop psychic abilities, healing, spiritual growth, protection, Divine guidance, divination and more.

When we speak of old traditions in the use of stones, we usually think of ancient Egypt. In fact, however, these traditions began much earlier.

Archaeological excavations show that people of the Late Paleolithic period (25,000–12,000 BC) were already adorning themselves with shells, ornaments made of bone and teeth, and beautiful stones. One of the most sacred stones at that time was amber.

The civilizations of Mesopotamia, the ancient Indian civilization, Afghanistan, the Phoenicians, ancient Egypt, the Thracians, the Greeks, the Etruscans and many others were fascinated by the magic of stones.

The connection between crystals and zodiac signs has existed for thousands of years. Wearing zodiac stones has been practiced for centuries in ancient cultures, especially in the Middle and Far East; in Europe, the practice became popular only after the 16th century. For around 6,000 years, people have chosen stones according to their date of birth.

Today, stones are increasingly associated with other dates as well, such as wedding anniversaries, graduation, important life events and so on.

The zodiac is divided into 12 sectors, each with its own characteristics and corresponding crystal or crystals. Every zodiac sign is associated with a particular stone, while the zodiac planets in turn are also linked to specific stones.

Every author and researcher gives different guidance – in practice it is difficult to find two identical recommendations, which is why I have compiled a fairly extensive list of stones recommended for each zodiac sign.

I selected several of the most frequently recommended precious and semi-precious stones and minerals for each of the 12 zodiac signs. These refer to the signs of traditional Western astrology.

In the video, we also included birthstones according to the month of birth, as well as stones recommended for wearing according to the day of the week.

Very soon we will expand our collection of zodiac jewelry, and until then you can browse what we currently have available here…
